Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar techniques our website uses, why we use them, and how you can manage or withdraw your choices. Storing and reading information on your device is governed by Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), which implements the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC). Any resulting processing of personal data is additionally governed by our privacy statement.
1. Who we are (controller)
- Name: Soveryne B.V.
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 42030650
- Address: Lange Groenendaal 110A, 2801 LV Gouda
- Email: privacy@soveryne.com
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Privacy and cookie questions, as well as data-subject requests, can be sent to privacy@soveryne.com.
2. What are cookies and similar techniques?
Cookies are small text files stored on or read from your device when you visit a website. Similar techniques include pixels, web beacons, local storage, scripts and SDKs that store or read information in the same way. In this policy, cookies means both cookies and these similar techniques. We distinguish:
- Functional (strictly necessary) cookies: needed to make the website work or to deliver a service you requested.
- Analytics cookies: to measure how the website is used and to improve it.
- Marketing and tracking cookies: to track browsing behaviour, build profiles or show personalised advertising.
3. When do we need your consent?
Under Article 11.7a Telecommunicatiewet, the following applies. No consent is required for:
- strictly necessary cookies (essential to deliver the communication or the service you requested);
- our analytics cookies, which we configure in a privacy-friendly way (low impact, limited processing, no or limited sharing with third parties) so that they fall within the exemption of Article 11.7a. Analytics is therefore placed without consent.
Prior consent (opt-in) is required for marketing, tracking and profiling cookies and all other non-essential cookies. For cookies that require consent:
- we do not use pre-ticked boxes;
- rejecting is as easy as accepting;
- you can choose separately per purpose; and
- you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Consent for non-essential cookies is obtained through a cookie consent banner before such cookies are placed. Reading this policy is not itself the act of giving consent. A consent banner is shown on your first visit, and you can reopen it at any time via Cookie settings. We currently place only strictly necessary cookies and a cookie that stores your consent choice. Our analytics, Plausible (plausible.io), is cookieless and sets no cookies.
4. Which cookies do we use?
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| session_id | Soveryne (first-party) | Maintain session and security | Functional (strictly necessary) | Session |
| cookie_consent | Soveryne / consent platform | Stores your cookie consent choice | Functional | 6 months |
| None (Plausible is cookieless) | Plausible (plausible.io) | Aggregate website usage statistics | Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookieless) | Not applicable |
We currently use no marketing or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this table and obtain consent before placing such cookies.
5. Third-party cookies and transfers
Our analytics provider, Plausible (plausible.io), is cookieless and EU-hosted, so it places no cookies and does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We currently use no other third-party cookies. Should that change, and where data is processed outside the EEA, the safeguards described in our privacy statement apply.
6. Managing your choices and withdrawing consent
You can manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:
- via our ;
- via your browser settings: you can refuse, delete or block cookies. Consult your browser's help function for the exact steps.
Deleting or refusing functional cookies may cause parts of the website to malfunction. Withdrawal of consent has no retroactive effect: processing that took place before the withdrawal remains lawful.
7. Processing of personal data
To the extent that personal data is processed via cookies, the GDPR applies in addition to this cookie policy. Please also read our privacy statement.
8. Changes to this cookie policy
We may amend this cookie policy from time to time, for example when the cookies used or the applicable laws change. The most current version is always available on our website. For significant changes, we will, where necessary, ask for your consent again.
