Policies

Read and download the policies your compliance team has published to you. Your compliance team writes and approves policies in Command, and Counsel is where staff receive them.

Everyone who can sign in to Counsel sees the Policies tab. You see the policies that were published to you.

How policies reach you

1
Your compliance team approves a policy in Command and publishes it to Counsel. See Policies in Command.
2
Command delivers it to the Counsel accounts of the staff it is published to, matched by your organisation's email domain.
3
The policy appears on your Policies tab. Counsel does not send an email or a notification, so check the tab when your compliance team tells you a policy is new.

Read or download a policy

1
Select Knowledge, then the Policies tab.
2
Find the policy. Type part of its name in Search documents… to narrow the list.
3
Select the version you want. Each policy shows only the versions your compliance team provided:
EN PDF and EN DOCX: English, as PDF or Word.
NL PDF and NL DOCX: Dutch, as PDF or Word.
The Policies tab with published policies and their PDF and Word downloads in English and Dutch

The policy opens in a new tab, where your browser can save or print it. Each row also shows when the policy was last updated.

The tab's introduction sums it up: "Policies your compliance team has published to you. Yours to read and keep."

Ask Counsel about a policy

Counsel can use the policies published to you when it answers your questions. For example, ask "What does our access control policy say about privileged accounts?".
